Well, everything is well argued, but when talking about "E.B.M.", one cannot avoid "bringing up" the fathers (and also masters): "Nitzer Ebb".

Not true, CAZ is right: I liked them, but while the guitar work is excellent, saturated and dialed back just enough to create a tight flow with a not-so-revivalist sound, the drums indeed lack the right punch; they feel lethargic, almost like they were recorded in direct capture or live. At times, the vocals also give the impression of being too mumbled, off-key. With more attention to the sonic "brutality," even in these details, they could have been huge (I.M.O.)(3.5).

Hey, Bartle, what does "fishing" even mean?! Like, when you're off doing some fishing on the Navigli, you either have Hawkwind in your headphones, or you’re not catching anything (not even sleep ; )?!

The Cure The Cure [UK edition] / The End Of The World [CD single]
Voto:
Well, perhaps the only remarkable thing here is Robinson's choice (a real producer, without too much beating around the bush), and it just so happens that this is the Cure album where the rhythm section has the most punch and variety of range (in the "takes," Gallup has hardly made the bass "play" at all, and you can feel it). However, the real flop (and quite brazen), when it comes to the singles, isn't so much "The End of the World," but "Taking Off": speculatively flawless as a manifesto of Fat Bob's creative crisis... Rehashing, only slightly slowed down, one of the most memorable pop riffs from their discography, and not just theirs, passing it off as a "new" and "original" piece is as depressing as it is humiliating (forget about the dreaded abysses of despair in "Pornography")!!!

Never played, but you could also create a mafia association, become a magnate in the pornographic industry, or be a hired killer (in short, truly significant things from a social point of view)?!

Hey, just because someone is paralyzed and stuck in bed doesn’t mean they don’t let out little farts under the covers, and then when you have to change their sheets, that’s when you realize that even a paralyzed person can do "very naughty things"!!!

Oh, the insight about that "A Little Bit Longer" at the end comes to me as a sudden epiphany. Of course, at this point, these young and talented musicians of ours, to hold their ground against those foreign brothers up the whale's ass, should at least come up with a more high-sounding and self-assertive name like, I don't know... "GenItalia"?!

Am I wrong or has the SupernaturalCat roster recently been moving more and more compact and united in live events?! Anyway, now when I think of SupernaturalCat, I always have a good laugh: the last time I went to see the Morkobot, the guy driving, who didn't know them, had only heard about them through the name of the record label... We had a blast the whole trip with "Supernature" by Cerrone blasting!

This was produced by none other than Dave Fridmann (who's been a bit of a sellout lately)... but you can't tell ; )
