Hey, anyway, in the mood for rankings, has "Maker" by Pontiak already dropped for everyone?! In the dirty rock scene, it remains one of my favorite travel listens this year, even though in the last month I've been paying much more attention to the recent "Sea Voids" (another great trip that leaves you semi-deaf ;).

Hehehehe, give a shout to Bisius because all the "Indie Kids" have gathered here, so he doesn't feel alone anymore ; )

I don't have this, but I can only speak well of Storey based on what I've heard. Of course, his vast production might suggest a certain "ease" in the realization and composition of such palettes with abstract sounds (in this regard, I want to highlight one of my favorite works of his: "Navigating by Colour," a concept about chromatic perception, dear to him as a painter, though it would be better to say "360° artist," in which there are, "hear, hear," even intelligible beats ; ).

I’m sorry to go against Master Psycho, but this is for me a steaming pile of crap, just like almost all the output from such a utterly careless band, which can be considered a “(very) small tr(F)uffa of rock 'n roll.” Yet I had given them some credit with "Good Bad Not Evil" (the kind: "maybe, if they keep going down this road, in a dozen years they might manage to put together a passable album"), but here they completely lack the few things that could save such releases: a few “easy” riffs (not that they’ve learned to play at all, mind you) and sufficiently upbeat chaos to get a little movement going in the hips (but we would even settle for tapping our toes); then people wonder why some Wavves or another can make a decent impression with reheated air. To wrap up, I would say that "Everything Goes Wrong" by the Vivian Girls is probably the least bad thing I've heard this year among productions of this kind, while "On All Fours" by Video Nasties is definitely the best ; )

Barred from attending all ARCI clubs??!!! Ehm, no caustic intent towards the band (especially since, although they come from areas neighboring mine, I admit I’ve never actually run into them), but from the newsletters received over the past 2 years with New Age club as the sender, it seems to me that their name has been quite present... Well, the fact is that for at least 2 years, the list of concerts organized and/or hosted by the aforementioned ARCI club has never seemed particularly appealing to me (understatement, and here the intent is indeed caustic), resulting in letting even those (few) proposals that might deserve some attention go unnoticed... Carta Canta!

Uéh-Uéh, how is it that when the air is filled with "Big Spending" for Christmas, the "Big Brands" of DeBaser magically come back to life?!..... Yoh-Oh-Oh, what Delights (interchangeable "ad libitum" with Sufferings)!

That they have almost completely ignored Tripod is quite understandable given its "compositional" weight in the writing of those tracks (however, "Again" is one of the pieces where "He" took care of the lyrics). Considering the past events, so many and such acclaim, albeit partially "posthumous," A.I.C. undoubtedly deserve it all, both as a band and as individuals, and there are no diegetic considerations that hold.

I had less than zero malice in my intentions, so much so that for the most part my excursions were meant to appear tinged with a certain irony (including that glotto/etymological), and even less did I care about "competing"; it simply seems to me that, based on a "national-popular" academic background, it is much more logical to encounter the thoughts and works of figures like Michelstaedter or Jahier (and you yourself support my hypotheses) than to come across Ken Saro-Wiwa.

Of course, the etymology says it all... about an adjective, and considering that the "rhetorical" game was initiated by you, attributing such significance to the figure of Saro-Wiwa... aposiopesis.
