Wow, I probably need to come to terms with my second-generation "Frociaggine"... But damn (a semiotic exclamation), it's the first "pseudo-interesting" proposal I've seen in "casa-pagina" for ages!!!

For me, the best stuff that they (he, "Ill Bill") have crapped out over the last 15 years is not essential, absolutely, but more than listenable. By the way (also take a look at the titles of the tracks ;), it seems to me that, in the instrumental progression, some debt to the airy yet substantial and composite instrumental structures of bands like "Isis", "Pelican" et similia, or to the various "Heavy/Shoegaze" French offshoots is quite evident... At least this time, compared to "Zeitgeist" (an unforgivable piece of rubbish), he really tried to keep "in step with the times."

E.N.O.R.M.E., I mean Raina, three albums, three vastly different expressive forms yet always traceable to a common denominator (read: expressive personality). Among the quotes from the review: fishing in something less "nostalgic," right?! I don't make them as Snob as most... it seems they also know authors a bit more contemporary like "Amari" or "My Awesome Mixtape" and, even,... "I Cani"! And they dare to turn the "poetics" of any "Battiato" upside down, coming out with good grades: "5+1, Always only Six!" is Memento Mori by Sgalambro (who might expect to reach a "7," but only in "Wittgenstein"ian memory : )

"Yes, I agree, we all love Virginia!"... Especially when it resonates pronounced with a certain Southern accent: "Vaginia" : )

I don't know! I really like them a lot, but I'll never understand why "Jane Doe" is considered such a superior "cornerstone" compared to, let's say, "Petitioning the Empty Sky" and, above all, why this album, which is chronologically later than the revolutionary releases of bands like "Botch," "Dillinger Escape Plan," and "Coalesce," is regarded as the masterpiece of all "post-core"!

When I come home late at night, "Slow Motion" is epiphanic (a bit like that "claim" from the Irish Pub about the 10th pint of beer: "Warning... You keep speakining American English!!" ;)

I saw a couple of recent shots of David Thomas, quite emaciated, I want so much (Platonic) good to that grumpy man that I worry about him (I hope) unfoundedly... Aside from the delightful psychic turmoil, I wish there were nothing else to care about. Anyway, the upcoming tour with "Rocket from the Tombs" on the Italian shores comes at just the right time : )
