Damn, lyrically Maynard keeps growing more and more (and us mere mortals notice it later and later)... Yet, we still consider "untouchable" poets other guys with easily evocative words. The "banal" "Vicarious," for example, has a thousand masterful assonances! One above all is the line "Shot by his own son" pronounced like a "Champagne is awesome," going against the general mood (but go check Keenan's pose in the stereoscopic images of the booklet)... Everything continues and genuinely mocks even the much-praised "putative fathers" of the lysergic... The "Beat literati" are no match for him, maybe with a dyed red mustache!!!

Damn, at a lyrical level Maynard keeps growing more and more (and we mere mortals notice it later and later)... Yet, "untouchable" poets are still considered to be other types with easily evocative words. The "banal" "Vicarious," for example, has a thousand masterful assonances! One, in particular, is the line "Shot by his own son" pronounced like "Champagne is awesome," going against the general mood (but go check out Keenan's pose in the stereoscopic images of the booklet)... Everything continues and genuinely mocks even the much-praised lysergic "foster fathers"... The "Beat literati" don’t stand a chance, maybe with a dyed red mustache!!!

Yes, but I repeat, the crescendo of "Garden of Light" the Nurosis could never afford... meaning they would NEVER be able to play it!!!

There’s that ā€œintesusiasmatoā€ which interests/excites me because I can’t interpret/understand its ā€œallomorphismā€ ; ). Nice review, although any form of the term ā€œTimoriaā€ makes me tremulously fearful a priori, I don’t know why!

This is less "showy" compared to "Nettuno Piromane," but they haven't changed drastically, so I don't think they will reconsider the original judgment. Personally, I find it their best... Hey, LuceNera, Isis, and Neurosis are not really post-rock (thank goodness!), at most post-core and at least post-metal, while Callisto I believe come from Finland: (3.5).

Eheheheh, I was hoping to emanate such fragrances... May the saga of the "Villaggiano" lexicon continue unwaveringly!!!

Fortunately, they have a truly rich (and valid) repertoire to draw from, but with their last albums, they have begun to release a series of tracks that, at best, are insignificant, and on some occasions even horrifying (what's worse is the fact that they seem proud of it; "Here to Fall" even came out as a single... Brrrrrrrr!!!).

Uh, Psycho, regarding the Video Nasties, keep in mind that they are British, and it shows; so, as a general point, they probably won't be your cup of tea... There are no traces of the southern, rootsy, and psychedelic inflections of the latest Black Lips.
