@gbrunoro, regarding the judgment of myself and other users about the first part of the Vaschiana production, I refer you to the comments on the reviews of his albums and live shows (especially the latest from Primiballi). I spare you the effort by telling you that personally, I save more or less everything up to Gli spari sopra. After that, only and exclusively crap. As for Ligabue, the first two/three albums are certainly already banal, but at least genuine and down-to-earth, as I wrote in one of my early comments. This is just to clarify that you are not facing the professional snob who dismisses Vasco and Co. just by hearing the name, only because it sounds so alternative.

Regarding the bitterness… well, there's nothing I can do about it, this crap makes me furious. Just the thought of the next summer hit speeds my fingers on the keyboard; even this summer, the stereo will only play CDs, because nobody is taking away my daily mega-dose of Vasco. I won't even mention what I feel when I think about the next life lessons these two will surely shove down our throats in the various interviews on unified networks. I can't tell you why I take it so hard; maybe because I still believe in it, I still have faith in Italians, deep down I hope one day they'll wake up from their stupor and finally decide to send these two (and maybe D'Alessio and a few others) to where they truly belong: the fields to plow. Zeroing their sales and desertifying the stadiums. Finally leaving the right space for someone who truly deserves it. Then oh, I do get angry, yes, but without exaggerating, don't worry I still can fall asleep at night ;)...

I didn’t know about Ramazzotti’s gigolo rich queen, nor was I aware of his hidden biography. It certainly explains many things. Although, someone who called themselves Hunzicher shows ample signs of repentance...

@gbunoro, evidently there are masses and masses. Probably in Germany or England, a Vasco or a Ligabue would be niche products (I'm saying would be because I can't think of any equivalent of our two champions in these countries), they would be people labeled under the heading "very very easy listening," if not outright "absurd," given the objective mediocrity of the productions, and would only be listened to by those 4 ignorant craniolesi who can aspire to nothing more than "give me a hand senorita and put it here" or "everyone wants to travel first class" (oh yes, what depth, what originality), otherwise they would get a headache. My God, maybe those ignorant craniolesi aren't just 4, perhaps they are a bit more even in England, maybe these two fools would sell a few million records there too, who knows, but surely no one would pretend to impose them on us as role models, there wouldn't be dozens and dozens of promo services on national news, no one would turn these two would-be miners (with all due respect to miners) into sort of bards of the lifestyle of the average Italian aged 15 to 40 like happens in this poor country. What really grinds my gears is not the millions of records, or the packed stadiums; it's not a matter of envy as you're subtly suggesting, we're in a democracy, and everyone is free to spend their money and impair their brain functions as they see fit. What just doesn't sit right is this attempt to elevate absolute nothingness to a paradigm of life, if not outright art, and all for what, to sell a few more thousand ringtones? As Stoney says, I need to give a sense to my ignorance; rather than trying to elevate myself to a decent level it’s much easier to lower culture to my crap, and here comes a fool who sings banalities easily birthed from the mind of a hamster in a melody that as soon as it starts, you already know the notes that will come after, becomes a lived and genuine master of life who knows a ton. Or a toxic and pedophile imbecile is the champion of uncomfortable truths and sincerity at all costs against hypocritical society. But fuck it…

@gbrunoro, the bitterness is easy to explain: Liga, Vasco, Pelù and the like have nothing left to say, but for a while now, and yet every time they publish their usual crap (and get ready psychologically for a spring-summer with at least the first two, evidently we can’t escape it every year) we are forced to endure them everywhere, dozens of times a day, and not only that, but it even gets to the point where these miracle-working semi-illiterates are elevated by the media, with support from the fans they attract, to cultural role models, to emblems of Italian-ness (especially Vasco) or even to full-fledged artists (see Ligabue who dives headfirst into poetry, films, lectures, etc., despite having a vocabulary of 40 words; indeed, Marcorè’s parody effectively conveys the success and credibility of such artistic initiatives of our national Lucianone). I believe that’s quite enough to provoke bitterness, sincere bitterness, wouldn’t you agree?

I keep asking the various die-hard Liga fans I know, how can they like someone who does the same exact thing all the time? How can they not get fed up with it? And the usual bullshit answers I won't bother to recall since we all know them. Me, I know the real answer, I get nasty, and I take pleasure in throwing it back in their faces that as long as there are hordes of kids (not just teenagers, but also those who have long since passed their twenties) who invent depression to fill their existential voids, who have never lacked anything since the day they were born yet still go to therapy, who coined the phrase "male di vivere" because saying "boredom of the spoiled" seemed harsh, as long as these elements exist, I said, Licamerda can afford to write the same cynical and bastardly life complaints with the same three chords for at least another 50 albums... because, as Bart Simpson said, depressing teenagers is like shooting fish in a barrel.
