Good job, Stoney. Which in simple terms means that rap, outside the U.S., is just laughable. In short, rap was born as an expression of social discomfort closely connected to the very history of the United States: immense cities created in less than two centuries. Wild urbanization has always brought social devastation, imbalances, and incredible inequalities, which in tangible terms translates into vast masses of desperate people crammed into crumbling ghetto neighborhoods where poor souls wage war against each other; on this backdrop, age-old racial issues have become deeply rooted and nurtured. These premises simply have never existed in Italy. As good Stoney says, who always hits the nail on the head, it's pointless to act like a black person raised on bread and lead when you actually come from the peaceful Italian middle class and the most discomfort you've experienced is having to commute to school, or your mother never talked to you like that fool Mondo Marcio; let’s be serious. So, if we already have very little in common with this phenomenon, wanting to copy its clichés outright—like clothing, gestures, yo yo, and other nonsense—only makes you look ridiculous, my dear rappers. Especially when it’s evident that today, in Italy as elsewhere, rap, long dead at least since the times of Tupac, has been reduced to this: a completely empty idiotic trend that will disappear in two to three years like the others (want to bet?), a trend full of yo yo, cool expressions, and strange hand gestures, which look so cool among the kids. An idiotic trend for idiotic children.

Well, maybe it’s because, as you say, this isn’t like those two idiots Fabri Fibra and Mondo Marcio, but rap or hip-hop or whatever the hell it’s called is already a pathetic and ridiculous imitation of American clichés, and the latest annoying single from this phenomenon only confirms it. A ridiculous little MTV product for poser wannabes, that’s what rap (or hip-hop) is in Italy.

a dissenting voice: I can’t stand it, the film may well be the masterpiece you all say it is, but I wouldn’t be able to watch it without the prejudices that character brings out in me. Too much smugness, too much arrogance, too many pretensions of being able to teach the truth and the word ooze from that man. Moretti was and remains the archetype of the leftist intellectual, ready to fill his mouth with democracy, pluralism, and constitution, but if you don’t think like him, you’re an ignorant. May he and those like him go to hell, thank you.

Watched last night, much better than witnessing the humiliations of the World Champions. What can I say, I had heard about it, so I knew I was in for a masterpiece, but watching it, it's clear that the fame of this film is well-deserved. Lorre is magnificent. The scene with the monster hidden in the attic is also great, as it waits in terror while its hunters burst through one door after another, but there's also the hope that they might escape due to the imminent arrival of the police. The portrayal of the German people in the final scene, the one of the trial, should not be underestimated: pure pragmatism, are you a danger to the community? You get eliminated, even if you are not responsible for your actions. Simple.

Wow, even Gummo: I didn't think it would hurt so much to see oneself portrayed in a line and three quarters...

Now I've read the comments: fantastic, simply fantastic Neu and Poletti, then it would be the Berlusconi supporters who got their brains washed, sure, why not.
