Here I am, finally able to fully judge this work. So gentlemen, I quote every single syllable of Mr. Sotanaht. This album is the exact fusion between the inner evolution of man and his conscious despair of being. It is the symbiosis of the decadent spirit that detaches from being to rise in its unconscious, in its irrationality. This work is simply a journey towards the nihilistic anthropology of the self. It is probably the most "spiritual" and introspective album of the band, the philosophical pinnacle of the Swedish quintet. The katatonic nihilism is therefore the outcome of the progressive revelation of the oblivion of being and thus of the existence of the denial of man's freedom. To have grasped the manifestation of nothingness as the sunset of the West means that the much-touted "hell" or "chaos" is simply the current face of being. "The night is the new day" is the work that concludes the cycle of Katatonia; if "TGCD," "Viva Emptiness," and "Discouraged Ones" were the perfect translation of nihilistic thought into music, this last album is its exact objectification of transcendence, ergo the exact birth of nihilism, impious of its nature. "Ah, where is there still a sea where one can drown: thus resonates our lament over the flat marshes" (Nietzsche)

Now I can say it: "Welcome to deb!!"....Great debut, you wrote a truly wonderful review, congratulations. Mr. Sylvian is a remarkable artist, I will definitely acquire this latest work. Beautiful page and excellent recommendation!!!! Until next time ;)

Of this splendid trio, I know "Decoupage" [a great album]. I haven't had the chance to listen to their latest work yet, but after your wonderful review full of zeal (unlike matacà, I appreciated it a lot :D), I'm rushing to find it! Congratulations on your interesting depictions... a greeting from the super ;)
