lux, you are absolutely right. I was a fan of theirs too, and like you, I've evolved... your comment number 100 perfectly embodies my idea, and I fully agree with you. !dreamtheater! No offense, but you are quite wrong this time, and now I’ll explain why.
First of all, don’t always hide behind the usual nonsense like "go watch MTV and listen to all the crap," because besides Dream Theater, there are countless other valid and amazing artists. Want a contemporary example? Consider "Pain of Salvation" or "Ayreon," just to name two. Since 2000, your beloved Dream Theater has plagiarized many bands, doing a sort of copy and paste to insert into their super technical, self-indulgent cycles. As dear lux says, if they've run out of ideas, they should retire. I admit that albums like "I&W" and "Awake" were very good, but currently, they seem to celebrate only their immense skill as musicians. In conclusion, I hope you realize that your ideas in this case are wrong... LUX HAS MADE HIS POINT.
