The Maiden may be old and tired, but the music they propose (even in the last 15 years) is something they invented; Mastodon didn’t. Derivative, I repeat. Mastodon are ridiculously derivative, and that's a limitation. As for the Dickinson issue, you're free not to like him, but the historical importance he has had for Maiden and metal is so evident that all other discussions become secondary. However, if you compare by using that homophobic tendency to stereotype genres and styles based on sexual preferences, I don't expect you to understand all of this. Peace and goodwill.

Well, those are minor things; it’s much more serious that you consider a derivative group like Mastodon better than Maiden. As for Motorhead, even though I don't agree, it makes sense since both are creators of their own sound and style. @Ghemi: last summer! ;-)
