Frankie has done good things. Verba Manent and La morte dei Miracoli were sincere records. He is also likable, quite a character. He was the best in his genre. However, the Sanremo song is truly ugly and trivial.

This year, the Sanremo Festival featured particularly anonymous songs. I would save Tricarico (the first good song he made), Cammeriere, and also Mietta. It was a great pleasure to see Venuti with the Denovo even though the song is a bit repetitive. The young ones were truly awful. However, we shouldn't shoot down the Festival, which, especially in the '80s, brought forth beautiful songs like Canzoni alla Radio, Rien ne va plus, Donne, 1950, Per Elisa that wouldn’t have had the same response otherwise.

I saw D'Arby in concert at a memorable edition of Sonoria 10 years ago (with Cure - Page/Plant - Curve - C.s.i.). Truly great, especially live. Live a 5, album a 4.

I would give 5 to the great Nick because it's not easy to make great albums after so many years and still have motivation, but the album, in my opinion, is a 3.5.
