Lucero Rebels, Rogues & Sworn Brothers

I saw the Lucero at Spazio Musica in Pavia about a year ago. I had a great time despite the unbearable heat of the venue. Very cool. Even though they draw heavily from their predecessors, nothing groundbreaking, let's say.

Look Lawrence, without being snooty, I don't feel like having a discussion about Lunapop. If you want to know my impartial opinion, "50 Special," as a song, was very well done. Cremonini, compared to many of his peers, like Meneguzzi, Dirisio, and other fake people, is better. In any case, in my opinion, it's a good remedy for insomnia. As for the plagiarism of "Better Day," Cremonini is indefensible since the songs are practically identical. It can't be a coincidence. I would define great Italian songs as "Futura," "Rimmel," "La sera dei miracoli"... definitely not those by Cremonini.

To begin with, "Un giorno migliore" is not a great Italian song but, as is known, a shameless copy of a song from many years earlier, namely "Better Day" by Ocean Colour Scene, which can be viewed at the link The same Cremonini, when questioned about it, awkwardly replied that "there are seven notes" and various other nonsense. No offense, Lawrence, this is the real story behind this "great Italian song."

Never heard anything more abominable. When I was a child, there were Gloria, Liù, Sole Rosso... Trash songs, for goodness' sake, but on another level. Quality trash.

I always listen to Cremonini when I'm constipated.

The song that serves as a dividing line between quality disco dance and its crass counterpart.

I remember meeting him one evening at the Salumeria della Musica in Milan. I had gone to see Luca Madonia. The concert had been rather boring as Madonia's solo production is like that. I was indeed hoping for many songs from Denovo and so I was already quite agitated. At the bar, I run into Capossela, a bit tipsy; compared to him, Zucchero seemed sober. Always with that artistic, bohemian air... well. A singer-songwriter I can't listen to, mostly out of dislike, a bit like Vecchioni. However, I must admit that Modì was a nice album.

I can't wait for the tour to start. To get something out of him. Never tolerated.

In my opinion, an album a bit overrated. Ultra is an album of a different level. Next year they will be playing at San Siro and Olimpico (June 18th and 16th). Wow.
