And I vote. Don't kill me.

I recently approached this genre of music and this band in particular, since I listened to the beautiful "Lift Your Skinny Fists Like Antennas To Heaven" a few years ago, and I must say it captivated me right away. I found this new album challenging, but it definitely takes quite a few listens to really "get into" it. Anyway, great work, and a great comeback.

I'm passing by because I've finally decided to listen to this album. If I come out alive, I'll return to give my verdict... =)

I've never laughed so much reading the comments on a review!

Worst album of the year. Already "The Resistance" showed signs of decay, but here the Muse are really past their prime. I remember with great nostalgia their huge concert at the Arena di Verona in 2007, and I hold tight to my original copy of "Origin Of Symmetry," which I consider wonderful. But this really stinks of stagnation, of a lack of ideas. I don’t think I’ll listen to them anymore...

I, on the other hand, found this album interesting. While it’s clear that there’s nothing new, this band knows what they’re doing, and the songs flow well, without fillers or dips in style. A great debut.

Listening to it is a dream. A wonderful review for a wonderful album, or rather, even more.

I really have to thank you for introducing me to a gem like this. I get chills listening to the tracks on this album, I’m not joking! Imperfect songs but filled with the true purpose of music: to evoke emotions. Seriously, this album has shot straight into the top ten of my favorite records! I knew My Morning Jacket, but only on the periphery, quickly listened to at a friend's house without paying proper attention. And now this "Tennessee Fire," with its out-of-focus cover, its acoustic guitars, and James's deep and sincere voice. A masterpiece.

Hi Bacca, I'll also pass for this review. I discovered Animal Collective with the previous "Merriweather Post Pavilion," which I really liked but only after several listens. I was curious to hear this new album, and after various careful listens, I can say that there’s too much going on (I agree with Psychopompe's comment above). I mean, it's not that I dislike it; on the contrary, I'm fascinated, but it's tough, really tough. The hour of "Centipede Hz" is heavy. You get to the halfway point and you're out of breath even if you're listening comfortably from your chair.

A very enjoyable album, without the peaks of the previous wonderful "Veckatimest." Tracks like Speak In Rounds and Half Gate demonstrate how great this band is, full of remarkable ideas and talent. It's a classic grower, one that sticks in your head as you listen to it more. Really beautiful, four solid balls for the bears.
