P.S. In India and China, not only Christians die. It's worth keeping that in mind once and for all.

When an institution has lasted for over 2000 years, grounding not only its existence but also its unquestioned right to express its views at all times, to moralize and give opinions on ethically sensitive issues in the name of the "Truth" written in a book, it should provide overwhelming and irrefutable evidence of that truth and that book, or it should fall silent and step down from its pedestal. This is in the name of atheists, "heretics," and all those of other religions who have been slaughtered by Christians over the centuries "in the name of God." And there are many.

Dear Enbar77, the historical accuracy of the Gospels is yet to be verified. In fact, no one has ever done this, but everyone talks as if they are true and indisputable historical documents. Few others, however, with a much more critical approach, have conducted research and demonstrated that the Gospels contain not only historical inaccuracies but also glaring subsequent manipulations that render them completely unreliable. Unfortunately, however, for some unknown reason, the opinions of these critical individuals have always been the subject of heavy mockery. To give a very silly example, Luigi Cascioli, the author of the book "La favola di Cristo," proposed the non-trivial hypothesis that the city where the Gospel places many episodes of Christ's life was not the famous Nazareth but the lesser-known Gamala, which was then the stronghold of the terrorist struggle against Roman power, and was later razed to the ground in a fierce battle (documented by Roman historians). Cascioli also reflects on other episodes of the Gospels, posing curious questions, for example: why were the Apostles going around armed (see the episode of the guard being injured during Christ's arrest), why does a band of legionaries move to arrest Jesus (about 150 soldiers to arrest 13 preachers?), what sense does the temple episode make considering that the temple has always been a place of meeting and commerce for Jews? Where does the name Barabbas come from, which seems to have no Roman, Hebrew, or Arabic origins? When would a Roman consul have granted the population of a colony the release of a prisoner? For those without dogmatic blinders and who have a minimal sense of truth, it is easy to realize what the Gospels actually are and, above all, who has used them throughout history, while for others, unfortunately, only the illusion of a convenient truth remains. Best regards.

Gustavo, the author of post number 29 unfortunately cannot always be on DeBaser, sometimes he pops in, reads, sometimes he prefers not to comment, and other times he would like to but can't due to time constraints. However, to answer you briefly: I believe that none of us can claim to be, when it comes to music, free from the influences imposed by radio, TV, and so on, because our tastes and critical sense are subjects of continuous and silent manipulation. The important thing is to be aware of it. That said, the "crime" is certainly not in liking Caparezza; rather, it's in believing that he has that something extra which makes a difference without realizing that he is simply the other side of the mainstream. If you want me to give you a practical example of someone who is truly valid in the Italian hip-hop scene, I recommend listening to some of Uochi Toki.

Indeed, the album is pretty awful... but who knows why everyone was sort of expecting it.

A glaring demonstration of how crap, when hammered endlessly through radio and TV, ends up appealing and convincing those who consume it that they are making a classy choice.

Now one can't speak freely or else they're a fake? I say what I think; if for me this album is crap, I'll say it without problems, and without fear of offending the delicate ears of the latest expert. Every musician is free to play whatever the hell they want, and everyone is free to listen to whatever the hell they want, but don’t come to me with nonsense about how this music is superior, because it's always the same old stuff just a little rearranged, and certain arguments just don’t hold up.

"a wonderful dreamlike journey without musical barriers, without the forced labels of this or that movement, free from the possible historical ties to a cumbersome past." And then you say that "the only doubt is the excessive homogeneity." But how? Wasn't it an album free from any scheme? What are you babbling about?
Now let me tell you how I see it... this is an album made by metalheads for metalheads, for that large group of individuals who cannot conceive music without distortion, without the rapid riffs over the omnipresent double bass, and without those varied atonal oddities mistaken for "originality." Because what you call "originality" is merely the way the usual prog-metal scheme is interrupted here and there, sometimes with clean vocals, sometimes with an ill-defined sound, sometimes with a melodic pause or a growl before resuming with the usual rant. Far from expressive freedom, this contains all the metal of 50 years in every obsessive degeneration, more schematic than ever.

"To him, who with his band manages to churn out masterpieces in quick succession, people prefer to dedicate themselves to the commercial nonsense that the radio plays day after day." But no. Fortunately, there are also people who don’t listen to the commercial nonsense of the radio, nor to these bullshit for failed metalheads in search of enlightenment. Or there are those who listen to this crap but don’t believe they are "better" than others because they are aware that even this shit, in the end, has its nice slice of the market to trade in. In any case, it’s pointless; certain discussions make no sense to a metalhead: they just won't hear it out of that ear. After almost 40 years since its inception, metal remains by far the genre with the highest number of zealots in the world, irretrievable.
