I read in a comment above: "I’ll pass on Pearl Jam, but what about Alice? Why do you think they're a shitty band?" Response: "Simply because I don’t like them." Congratulations. Top marks. This is what understanding music and rock is all about. Great music critics, here on deBaser.

Guys, come on, a little common sense, right?? Do you realize what a mess you’ve made over a record? Holy Christ... I may be a "young person of today" (perhaps less young than you), with no identity and no ideology, as someone mentioned earlier, but at least I still have a shred of rationality to take things for what they are, to feel a record like this and have fun and go wild, which I believe is the ultimate goal of those who played it. The problem is that some of you take nonsense like this way too seriously, which in my opinion is meant purely for fun, and completely ignore truly important things like... everything else. And there’s nothing worse than being lectured on life by someone who can’t even live their own.

A masterpiece from every point of view. Forget Ligabue, Litfiba, Vasco, or all that crap often cited as "Italian rock"...

After the success of people like this who infest the market and the minds of young idiots, I'm starting to think that music is by definition ugly, and that the things I liked until yesterday are just an exception brought about by random and unrepeatable astral conjunctions. Otherwise, it doesn’t make sense...

Primiballi. If you don't understand why I find it disgusting for a 50-year-old to talk about a little girl who touches herself, I certainly can't explain it to you; it's a matter of sensitivity, which you lack and which allows you to consider Vasco a poet. So much so that you bring up "morality" as if I were a priest here to preach. You talk about "morality" in the most foolish sense, that of empty puritanism for its own sake. But you, being a fan, have you listened to Vasco's songs? Shall we talk, for example, about "Io non so cosa fare"? The lyrics say, "Naturalmente lei insiste / mi vuole proprio fare / magari è femminista / e non vuole certo farsi violentare." And I'm the puritanical moralist? What kind of mental illness must one have to write such a verse, and above all, what must one have to listen to it and let it pass by unnoticed? But beware, because the VATE continues: "Però, però, però / che strano come è dolce / quel modo di toccare / sembra quasi una bambina." I mean this guy is talking about someone touching him because she wants to fuck him, and the most obvious association he makes is with a little girl?! And I have to sit here justifying my previous posts? If I say something, I'm a "moralist"? And then what the hell kind of sentence did you write there, "aspettiamo insieme che avanzi anche tu nell'età e ne riparliamo"? I think you've got some pretty confused ideas, my friend; I'm pretending I didn't read it...

Well, to me they make my blood boil. If I were them, I would be ashamed... damn, after 10 years since their debut, they still haven't learned to hold an instrument properly? How is that even possible, I ask... and these guys are successful, they go on tours, make videos... But how many other bands more talented than them in Italy are forced to play in small venues or do gigs at lousy places without getting paid, or getting paid in beer and sandwiches? Screw anyone who plays and anyone who produces this crap, and even those who convince the public that this is quality music by exploiting the media machine of MTV and similar bullshit.

"I touch my enemies with my nose and with the sword, /
but in this life today I can no longer find the way. /
I don't want to resign myself to being bad, /
only you can save me, only you, and I write it to you: /
there must be, I can feel it, in earth or in heaven a place /
where we won't suffer and everything will be right. /
Please don't laugh at these my words, /
I am just a shadow and you, Rossana, the sun, /
but you, I know, do not laugh, sweetest lady /
and I do not hide under your abode /
because by now I feel it, I have not suffered in vain, /
if you love me as I am, forever yours, forever yours, forever yours... Cyrano"
Overrated? But what do you know... do me a favor: SHUT UP! One of the most beautiful songs of all time... many of you who are picky about the lyrics and music of Guccini, I honestly don't understand what you expect. Maybe I don't know, perhaps you prefer other singers like Gigi d'Alessio, Zarrillo, Baglioni or Vasco Rossi. Listen to them and stop bothering!... Bah!

But if they have degrees to give away, they could gift them to someone else. If they have too many and don't know who to give them to, they could give one to me, considering I've been trying to obtain one for several years now. What makes me laugh regarding that degree given to Vasco are the reasons: merit for communication skills. Well, then let's give Rocco Siffredi a degree in communication too, right? What are we waiting for? Who is more of a communicator than him, who is more of an artist, who is better at understanding the desires of the audience?
