What a load of rubbish, this album is an absolute gem. I really enjoy the intensity that Bach puts into his singing (just listen to Beat Yourself Blind or Frozen), it feels like he wants to leap out of the speakers and eat your heart! Breakin' Down? I think it's their best track ever (along with Quicksand Jesus and In a Darkened Room). The only issue is that there might be a bit of a mixing problem, sometimes the volume of the guitars is disproportionate compared to everything else...

Anyway, a decent and pleasant album. Wishlist, the wishlist, is in my humble opinion a little gem of songwriting. I give it a 3 because after Vitalogy Vs and No Code, how can you give more?

It's been a week that I keep asking my trusted shopkeeper when the record will arrive; I don't understand why he has developed jaundice.

Anyway, I don’t know about you, but I can’t listen to Blackbird (at least for now), it makes me feel a kind of sadness that you can’t even imagine... I don’t know.

But the opener Ties that bind?
What breaks?
I sing it even in my sleep now.
Good review, I laughed quite a bit at the beginning :-)

Well, I must say, I'm a big fan of the vibe that permeated those years; when "Bullet with Butterfly Wings" was all the rage, I was 16. On one hand, it’s true that, as Cellardoor says, the greatness of that period, during which monolithic and unforgettable albums were produced, still wields a significant influence on today’s youth, and the comparisons often come off as harsh, I can't deny it. But this band, in my humble opinion, isn't bad—they try to blend typical elements of old-school melodic hard rock with darker atmospheres reminiscent of Seattle... the result, in my view, is at least enjoyable, largely thanks to Myles Kennedy, who really knows what he's doing. As I mentioned before, if there’s one thing that doesn’t convince me about this album, it’s the lyrics; I was rereading them just yesterday, and honestly, I don’t think they’re that great (maybe it’s just that Vedder has set the bar really high for me ;-)

And for those who want to see how Kennedy sings (and how the band sounds) live, I refer you to Find the Real live from Jay Leno (on YouTube). A fantastic performance, and Kennedy is amazing as he nails the final high note of the song on the record, holding it for about 12-13 seconds... monstrous.
