Well, the ones I've mentioned are still existing figures in a positive way. As for "deceased" artists, I would have also mentioned Litfiba (the old ones), CCCP, C.S.I., Disciplinatha, Scisma, but also Ustmamò and Massimo Volume. EDIT: Among the current ones, I forgot Il Teatro Degli Orrori.

Don't worry, Roof, I imagined you were backing me up. My comment referred to the fact that here on Debaser some of the aforementioned artists split user opinion a bit, that’s all ;)

However, Turilli and his associates are truly people with a rare combination of unlikability and arrogance...

McFly, it seems clear from your comment that you don't know much about Italian music. Since Vasco (like Ligabue) is now dust, I'll tell you what rock is in Italy. Besides the triad of Marlene-After-Verdena (I say this at the risk of being criticized), I suggest La Menade, Tre Allegri Ragazzi Morti (even if they are more pop-punk), Bugo (our Beck), Nada (the latest stuff), Ufo Mammut, El Thule, Vanessa Van Basten... and why not, even Caparezza (you'll call me an idiot, but listen to the latest album and you'll understand). Then again, there are also artists who are not really (or almost not at all) rock but in my opinion worthy of note, such as Casino Royale, Cristina Donà, Giorgio Canali & Rossofuoco, Ginevra Di Marco, Morgan, John De Leo, Marco Parente, Samuele Bersani, Paolo Benvegnù, i 24 Grana, Giardini Di Mirò, Perturbazione... and also the beloved-hated triad (Baustelle-Offlaga Disco Pax-Subsonica). If these have anything less than the current Vasco Rossi, well... then I must be the fool.
