The Offspring Americana
Voto:
The review is good, but "Americana" is not a bad album in my opinion... "Why Don't You Get A Job?" in its simplicity is very funny, and "Have You Ever" seems like the daughter of any track from "Smash" or "Ixnay On The Hombre"... and I would make the same argument for "Staring At The Sun". To talk about bad albums in the case of Offspring, I would wait for a certain "Splinter"...

Anfoxx, if Baustelle are arrogant, then what is Federico Zampaglione today? Well, to each their own.

A Tuscan director who really knew how to create beautiful things up to a certain point, aside from a few late bursts during his decline, was Alessandro Benvenuti, not this Pieraccioni, whom I only envy for having (and still having) such hot girlfriends!

Oops, I said TAKE when I think you already have them... let's say then that mine is a sort of advice for those who don't know much about Pantera :D

To understand Pantera, there’s no collection that can hold up. TAKE EVERYTHING FROM "COWBOYS FROM HELL" TO "THE GREAT SOUTHERN TRENDKILL". And I add that a GENIUS like Dimebag Darrell was taken away too soon. WE MISS YOU, PANTERA!

Simply LEGENDARY. In my opinion, there isn't a bad album among all those made by Alioscia, Palma, Benifei, and company... my favorites are perhaps "CRX" and "Sempre Più Vicini" tied for first, but this album is also essential (and unfortunately hard to find).

You don't write badly, but I completely disagree with you. For me, this is, along with Caparezza and Portishead, THE album of 2008, without taking anything away from Meshuggah, Opeth, De Gregori, Afterhours, and other great albums from this year. I believe "Baudelaire" is THE song of the album, which has a lot of Bluvertigo vibes, culminating in the end with a kind of virtuosity (if I'm saying it right) between jazz and pop disco like the Pet Shop Boys (you'll also notice it a bit in "Antropophagus," before the quote from "Cannibal Holocaust"). Rachele Bastreghi is THE Made In Italy voice alongside Cristina Donà and Ginevra Di Marco, and I might be forgetting others, while Francesco Bianconi is a worthy lyricist, perhaps not at the level of De André or Fossati (though his voice does remind you a bit of Faber at times), but he deserves all the success he’s having along with the whole band. Now I bet that criticisms will pour in just like they did for the past reviews of "Amen," but I'm willing to wager that they'll all come from people who think Luca Turilli writes decent lyrics or that Dari or Tokio Hotel are cool. But oh well, after all, there are people who have the courage to criticize De André, so... live and let live.

Simoorta, you remind me SPIKED of an asshole (my ex-friend) who called me a racist just because I didn't like ONE person belonging to a sexual gender (and I didn't say all) and then claimed he wanted to go burn churches... well, you're IDENTICAL in behavior!
