"From Gustavo's face, you can tell he doesn't like 69." But yes... he actually does... and a lot :P

Dear Punisher, who I find quite likable, I’ve been listening to the CD in question pretty thoroughly and it seems anything but bad. It's a work that doesn’t convince right away on the first listens, but gradually it gets under your skin. At least, that was my impression. It seems to me that the touch of retro present in the album has helped produce a better work than the previous two albums. Of course, I prefer the albums mentioned by Azzo, but that doesn’t take away from the fact that I liked "Modern Guilt" a lot. If I were to judge the album regardless of the character or the past, I would have given a 5 even to "Guero" and "The Information" (which don’t deserve a 5, even though they are two good albums), don’t you think? I understand tastes, I understand critiques, and I accept them as long as we don’t fall into exaggeration, but it seems that here we’re talking about Beck as if we were talking about the latest from Jovanotti...

Ah, for goodness' sake: "Is it really possible that everything is amazing, fantastic, and genius for you?" It depends on what we're talking about. "If this gets five stars, how do you rate 'Mellow Gold' and 'Sea Change'? Twelve?" Well, consider that for me 'Guero' and 'The Information' were neither astounding nor awful, especially considering that I delved into 'The Information' even less than the previous ones. And I absolutely adore the albums you mentioned. Not to take anything away from 'Odelay', 'Mutations', and especially 'Midnite Vultures', which I’m surprised no one has mentioned here! I'm not talking as a fan boy; I simply admire Beck as a character in himself, and it doesn’t seem to me that he’s washed up, quite the opposite...

Hardrock92, I hope it's a tribute to them, that would be the only good thing. Just like the reference to Offlaga Disco Pax in "Liceali" (watchable TV series scheduled for May, remember?).

I add that we are only missing (to quote other bullshit Meid In Itali) the 5 of "Cardiofitness," "Milano Palermo Il Ritorno," "Concorso Di Colpa," "Scrivilo Sui Muri," the Moccian trilogy, "Notte Prima Degli Esami Oggi" (the first one was decent in my opinion), "Manuale D'Amore 2" (see the discussion about Notte Prima Degli Esami), "OcchioPinocchio," "Caino e Caino," all the latest bullshit from Boldi & De Sica, "Selvaggi," and so on. Italian cinema today is split in half. Not to mention the recent lack of ideas in the television field... There are capable people, but the problem is that certain stories are written poorly, and sometimes capable people get involved too. Then it’s obvious that anyone expecting a new Orson Welles could be left empty-handed for quite a while.
