Vasco Rossi Colpa D'Alfredo

Get ready for the lynching... this album is one of the best from the Vasco that was. A manifesto where he really let loose: the romantic "Tropico Del Cancro," the intimate "Amico Fragile," the lively "Sensazioni Forti," the (at the time) heavily censored title track, and a touch of hardcore energy in "Asilo Republic." In short, there's just no contest: putting ourselves in the shoes of those who lived through THAT era, we have to say that this CD was worth it and, in my opinion, still is, but in its ORIGINAL version. I had the courage to listen to the title track in a concert version from 2002: a REALLY SCANDALOUS fiasco, let me tell you, much worse than what the "critics" thought back then.

Because, in my opinion, Allevi is just a simple craftsman (pleasant, to be fair...) who makes perhaps nice songs, but nothing more, so maybe the term "fake alternative" fits him a bit. On the other hand, Tricarico, in my view, has his own reason for being, and I believe he has never wanted to be a "fake alternative"... then in his nursery rhymes (you hit the nail on the head with that term), I think there’s nothing wrong in finding a (valid) meaning. In short, he’s better than others.

Beautiful courage to compare Tricarico to Allevi...
Prodigy Invaders Must Die

Hardrock92, listen to "Experience" and "Music For The Jilted Generation" and you'll see that The Prodigy were MOOOOOOLTO ahead of their time... sure, "The Fat Of The Land" is beautiful too, but those two I mentioned earlier were the foundations that allowed Howlett's group to explode...

Many will shoot it down, but I really liked this piece a lot.

I really liked the two singles, better than the disappointing "Always...". Let's hope for the whole album as well...

To simply call the Squallor "buffoons" takes some guts... and you had it, Franci.
Afterhours Il Paese E' Reale

Who knows why, but I agree with my "nemesis" Azzo on points A and F of his comment (even if Alessio seems to me anything but a good person)...

I almost forgot about the votes. I've always been an admirer of Afterhours (not a fan, that would be too extreme). I thought I was going to hear some nonsense with their participation, but I was pleasantly surprised. The piece may not be a masterpiece (of course...), but I don't mind it.

"It gives me goosebumps like chalk on a blackboard." I don’t know why, but I’m dying of laughter reading this sentence.
