Catherine Deneuve is the archetype of the woman favored by Hitchcock, the icy blonde who appears classy and impeccable, but is a slut inside, like Tippi and Grace. It's strange that he never cast her in one of his films, perhaps for linguistic reasons. That old misogynistic pervert, Hitchcock! Apologies for the digression, but when I read Truffaut, it’s easy for my thoughts to drift to Hitchcock... I haven't seen the film yet; I really like Truffaut, but there are some I still need to watch, like this one. I didn't like La Signora della Porta Accanto, which I saw recently.

Yes, the earthquake was commercial and sycophantic, I agree... but at the concert, Pelù wasn't trivial, at least as far as I remember; rather, he was quite heavy with Bettino and company. EL Diablo is definitely the last noteworthy work by Litfiba.

I saw them live at the Terremoto tour, Pelù had an incredible energy, bouncing around here and there constantly, a powerful voice... it was a great concert overall, interrupted by Piero's delightful discourses on tangentopoli. I preferred 17 Re.

I don't understand anything about classical music either, just like with jazz; I only know that I love Mozart, Rossini, Bach, and Beethoven :-) When it comes to opera, it's even worse; practically only Mozart and Carmen by Bizet. Chopin less so, but I know the polonaises, like the nocturnes... I've had good music teachers.
