Don't blame me; you're not in a position to do so, and even if you are, don't do it anyway. Which of you in elementary school knew Albert Finney, Lauren Bacall, Ingrid Bergman (well, maybe her), Vanessa Redgrave, Anthony Perkins, and Jacqueline Bisset? I do have the context, but I'm not blaming you... I'm blaming you for the mistakes and for discussing the plot as if it were the brainchild of Lumet. There are obviously some variations from the original book, but it can certainly be said that it is the most successful film adaptation of an Agatha Christie mystery, and that Albert Finney is the most fitting actor to portray Poirot.
