Red Crayola The Parable of Arable Land
Voto:
how wonderful!
Caravan In The Land Of Grey And Pink
Voto:
the album I prefer by the Caravan, but I like them less than other Canterbury representatives
The Doors The Doors

Since it's about Jim Morrison, I'll talk more about cool guys than cool girls :-D beautiful album that reminds me of many things. Blackdog, are you from Rome? Were you the one last night who was bothering a hefty German woman at Ponte Sant' Angelo? :-DD
Third Ear Band Third Ear Band
Voto:
hypnotic and primordial....pure experimentation. Divine and Earthly. Rock and prog are light years apart, minimalistic I wouldn’t say...psychedelic yes, especially for Fire but perhaps it's just me who has a completely personal concept of psychedelia.
King Crimson Lizard

blackdog, Peter Hammill's voice is something to drive you crazy!!!! I read your review of Björk... I would have liked to read it though without censorship :-/
Tim Buckley Happy Sad
Voto:
what a splendid review!!!
King Crimson Lizard

Lord and Arnold, I was talking about British prog (I've omitted Canterbury because I consider it a different genre)... but what do Le Orme have to do with it :-) ??
King Crimson Lizard
Voto:
The Van Der Graaf Generator, in my humble opinion, are the best British prog band after King Crimson. The VDGG were so different from the others, in style, so measured and soft, and at the same time so hard and visceral... their music was a one-of-a-kind prog, both musically and lyrically, and it makes me smile to hear laymen say they are similar to Genesis or Yes; only a layman could make such an idiotic claim. They had class, and that’s not up for debate... they may not be to everyone’s taste, and that’s legitimate, too heavy and indigestible for those who love classic prog with enchanted atmospheres, grandiloquent lyrics, and baroque melodies.
Hood The Cycle of Days and Seasons
Voto:
I have Cold House by Hood, and reading your review it seems to be in the same vein as this album. Very minimalistic and definitely post-rock, pleasant but after a while they bore me.
Pink Floyd Meddle

I agree with hetzer but I also agree with niibio...beautiful and by far superior to Dark Side, but I too find that certain PF albums have aged poorly.
