When it comes to Battisti, for me it's all a bit too cultured... too elitist (even if this album sold a million copies)... more or less explicit citations... refined atmospheres... and already a few years back, a classical musician friend of mine who was very much into the "scene" told me that he had been getting some help with composition for quite a while... well... anyway, real greats don’t need to quote everything that can be quoted to be appreciated even by the usual leftist critics... ps. like Battisti?..... keep your hands off... living Italians are all a step below...
