But have you listened to this album yet? There’s a striking distinction from all the work that came before it...

But are you Sardinian too? Anyway, I was referring to what’s written on Wikipedia. I have nothing to say about your comment. You got it right, although with the necessary distinctions. Assibiri is funny, eheheh... it would be a si bì(o biri) or si bieusu. But if you’re Sardinian, it’s pointless for me to tell you :-)

From Wikipedia, I disagree with the notion that they "didn't pay her" because there was, in fact, a form of compensation through agricultural products. Certainly not money, though. Aside from that, almost everything is correct. And it's not a legend, absolutely. Undoubtedly, several stories have emerged linked to this highly controversial figure.

Perfect Iside, but then let's go have some craft Sardinian beers (choose from 8 microbreweries scattered around the island) because compared to Ichnusa, they have a whole different appeal. ;-)

...damn the votes. @Telespallabob: Congratulations on the review, really. It’s not easy to read such concepts lately. Your grandfather was surely a great person, and you seem to have inherited his best traits.

Beautiful book. I also recommend Niffoi and Deledda if you want to rediscover the flavors of a bygone Sardinia. @Iside: The norm was that there was "sa levadora" (the midwife, literally) who was nothing more than the modern obstetrician. She would travel around the villages, by request, to help deliver babies at home. As for "s'accabadora," meanwhile (accabai in Sardinian, just like acabar in Portuguese and Spanish— all Romance languages—meaning to finish, literally "to strike on the head"). This is because one of the methods used by s'accabadora was to strike the dying person in the forehead with "su mazzolu," a specially crafted olive wood stick. Alternatively, she would use a pillow. I know it sounds harsh, but death in Sardinian culture has always been viewed very pragmatically. It was the cycle of life. Additionally, given the distance between villages, s'accabadora would end the patient's unnecessary suffering while waiting for the doctor, who might take days to arrive. Of course, it was NOT a scientific method but rather belonged to the culture that was passed down. Sometimes s'accabadora and sa levadora could be the same person. The only thing that changed was the color of the clothing: black for euthanasia and white or light colors for births. If you want more information, feel free to ask. Oh, I was born at home :-)

"Rebellious Zizzone" sounds better than special cigarette... Anyway, this record deserves to be listened to in every possible mental state. From the clarity and purity equal to that of a newborn, to the complete upheaval of the PnP style. The latter, trust me, I strongly advise against as a state of mind. :-) I missed the review.

Oh yes, Sardinian land deserves it badly. At least in terms of nature, we can say our piece. Unfortunately, when it comes to the rest, we're going a bit to hell. Wrong people in the wrong places in society. But then again, we reflect a national trend, so... Maybe, if you happen to be in my area, we can meet up and enjoy a nice Sardinian beer together.
