A "Thelma & Louise" that relies more on mouth and pussy than on guns. A great performance by a French porn actress whose name I can't remember, already starring in many films by Mario Salieri, including the legendary "Fuga dall'Albania."

Ok blackdog, I can tear up the half review I had already prepared. I'd like to contribute to your (good) one by saying that this seems like an "underground" film, strange for a master like Powell, and I think it's entirely natural that Scorsese has reevaluated it, because he is indebted to it; the use of color, the furtive movements of the camera have strongly influenced him. Take for example "Mean Streets," which seems to emerge from the nighttime shadows of Powell's Soho, which, like this film, begins with a scene of projecting home movies. Great.

But which one is it? The one with the singer Nico and the Velvet who invented hard rock?

Ah, I have seen the movie and read the book (which I have in the Editrice Nord edition titled "Do Androids Dream of Electric Sheep?"), and it actually makes me want to re-read it after such a long time. It seems to me that the substantial difference between the two is that while the movie focuses on the ambiguity of human nature, the book is more "ecological," emphasizing the consequences of a nuclear war on human life from a naturalistic perspective, such as the need for love.

It seems to me that the review mentions lofty films but forgets a precursor from 1973 by Michael Crichton, "Westworld," with Yul Brinner as the android in the futuristic amusement park who rebels against its "creators." If you want your reviews to be read, you should cut them down a bit here and there; if you don’t care, feel free to elaborate whenever you want. Moreover, I have the impression that it doesn’t capture the atmosphere of the film, which is a synergy between the ordinary face and the Marlovian, "impenetrable" nature of Deckard/Bogart, the set design, the cinematography, Douglas Trumbull's special effects, Vangelis' music, and Sean Young's beautiful performance. All things that should make someone reflect on checking their crazy neurons before saying to flush this film down the toilet.

Which dboon record? "My heart attacked me"? Some information can be found about honey davis, even a video of him performing in a blues big band with a brass orchestra. This is another desperate soul who was starving, he joined the Electric Peace after his partner, the organist Mary Christmas, died in his arms during the recording sessions, leaving him alone with four children. He had a spectacular technique with an old and battered Swedish Hagstrom guitar. Damn guys, the turntables to ship are becoming too many, but I'm really happy.

Girls of uncommon intelligence means superior to hers, miss maryg, since she can't grasp that the 2 she motivated only with the second comment and not when she placed it. She can also dwell on the mistake of the gender and the name of Donnelly (again) but I go by memory, I'm not looking at the names on the cover of the vinyl, especially since I'm now seeing that they are on the inner sleeve. One shouldn't trust their own memory, especially when they have an intelligence lower than these girls, who made a nice record that by the way has never seemed cheerful to me, but quite connected to the Paisley Underground and for me, Paisley is a strange kind of psychedelia, see Dream Syndicate and Green on Red. When I bought it in '88 I liked it, but then honestly it fell into oblivion (a serious fault for them). I listened to it again and felt like "paying homage" by writing a few lines of review and nothing more because they aren't exactly among my passions. If she didn’t like it, I really can’t do anything about it, except to make her happy by giving her a nice 1 so the average goes down. Since it’s her absolute favorite group, she should pay homage to them with a nice non-superficial review that gives them the place they deserve in the musical firmament alongside the Velvet Underground and the Stooges. I will be happy to give her a 5 so it looks good.

You know I don't care about the average, I finished school in 1988... the fact is that you didn't justify that 2, and it seems to be a reaction to that kind of reporting error, which I find silly. Next time let me know that I'm about to review your favorite band, so I can make it deeper. The fact is that to me, the Throwing Muses don't have all the originality that you attribute to them.

@odradek, there’s practically nothing about this online, not even news;
@NIBIIO, I leave the Swedish stooges to you, I’m curious to read your thoughts;
@azzo, I’ll only send you the turntable if you can give me some news (documented, hehe) about what happened to Brian Kild.

@psyco: I think you're being too harsh in your judgment
@NIBIIO: You're right, this is delta blues to which they've attached 2000 volts.
