Super Robot 28 was the first robot to appear on television screens! It was truly awful... then, in order of ugliness... uihm... here it is! Balatak was pretty terrible too...

wow! a bit of healthy brutal death with a singer's voice that sounds like he's been having serious digestion problems and is about to vomit his very soul!!!! Well... every now and then, something like this should be savored, slowly, little by little, just to not lose either the habit or the addiction.....

a very difficult answer given that there are modern reinterpretations (neither sequels nor remakes, but simple modern reinterpretations) of almost all Japanese robots, including Gaiking and Jeeg, known as "Kotetsu Shin Jeeg," which is really, really beautiful! Legendary is the episode where the old Jeeg (Hiroshi) fights alongside the new one (Kenji)..... it's terrifying!!!!

@LEXUS: I’ll take care of it as soon as possible! @FUSILLO: I didn’t mention the full-length films on purpose, otherwise I would never have finished writing. I own them all. In order, they should be: "Mazinga Z VS. Devilman"; "Mazinga Z VS. Il Generale Nero" (the best one); "Il grande Mazinga VS. Goldrake" (the worst, because it’s a mix of all the films with the wrong dubbing of both the lines and the names...); "Il Grande Mazinga contro Getter Robot" and "Il Grande Mazinga VS Getter Robot G"; "Il Grande Mazinga, Getta Robot e Goldrake contro il Dragosauro" (here all the giant robots are present except for Mazinga Z, who you find in Mazinga VS. Goldrake in the previously mentioned mess of films...). The best is "Mazinga Z VS. Il Generale Nero" where Mazinga Z faces the Mikene empire, gets a real beating, and at the last moment, Tetsuya and Il Grande Mazinga come to save the day. It’s also the only full-length film that lasts more than the classic 20 minutes (the others last about 20-25 minutes, not more, except for the aforementioned "mess of films" "Il Grande Mazinga VS Goldrake" that mixes the plot of the original with all the others mentioned).

Well... I don't believe that the Getter Robot saga has been that underrated. Except for the usual reasons unknown to us, it was partially broadcasted with cuts, as happened with Mazinger Z, thus avoiding the finale with Musashi's death. Several sequels followed (Getter Robot G, Getter Robot Re-Model, Shin Getter Robot, and so on (see here: IIS 10.0 Detailed Error - 404.0 - Not Found Some series I haven't seen at all! However, I did watch Shin Getter Robot - The Last Day, which was very nice, and I would love to see Getter Robot Re-Model, but it seems impossible. I will try streaming and the subtitled episodes, the only solution. The crazy world of Go Nagai is simply delirious and genius! And the most underrated anime, in my opinion, is precisely Violent Jack, of which I know practically nothing. But then again, Go Nagai has created trillions of things.... What do you think of "Kotetsu Shin Jeeg?"

Thank you, Cornell! I would have loved to write and say so many other interesting things (like that Tetsuya is a bit of a maniac... in the manga, he's portrayed as a madman with the goal of killing and doesn’t hesitate to threaten to kill June herself!)... have you seen the movie "Mazinga Z VS Il Generale Nero"? It would be a sort of introduction to the Grande Mazinga saga. Mazinkaiser is very nice but doesn’t reach the heights of the old giant robots. Much more of a "splatter movie" and, at times, it reaches incredible levels of absurdity (in the movie "Mazinkaiser VS Il Generale Nero"). I'm "collecting" Shin-Mazinger Z so I can watch it all in one go in peace!
Best regards and thanks to everyone!
