I enjoyed the movie......

impeccable review. But why didn't you divide it into paragraphs?

So Bartle: the super bad guy is actually the commander (I believe, if I'm not mistaken) of the first shuttle ship, Icarus 1, sent to bombard the sun which then, due to mystical crises, stopped the mission mutinying in the name of God "because if God has decided that we must die then no one can go against divine will" and similar nonsense. Icarus 2 tried to "dock" with Icarus 1 to retrieve the other nuclear device in order to have 2 chances in case they failed with the first one. But they only got themselves into trouble.
It's a film that didn't really excite me, but it has a very touching ending and makes you reflect on a lot of themes, first and foremost how we are capable of destroying the Earth and how we should appreciate the beautiful things of this great planet of ours.
However, the movie bored me quite a bit. The score is a 2.5 rounded up because that's just how I'm feeling today.
