TEOMONDO, by now the best chocolate is Italian, certified internationally. Chocolate that has surpassed Swiss chocolate. I used to prefer Swiss over Italian, especially because I have relatives in Switzerland who showered me with Swiss chocolate. Then came the big discovery that our chocolate is the best of all!
As for watches, here I have to give you a big disappointment as well. Swiss movements (the machinery) are extinct, and all the watches you buy have movements "Made in Taiwan". The only Swiss movement is ETA, which costs a fortune but you won't find it in any watches anymore. Now, Taiwanese movements are the trend, assembled there, costing very little, and they are categorized into good, mediocre, and crappy. The majority are crappy.
How do I know? Well, my father is a watchmaker.....

great album for a great Italian artist!

Why do you say the band is relatively unknown? They are Swiss and have been active since 1991! This "Solar Soul" is not the peak of Samael. If you want to listen to something truly beautiful, I recommend "Passage" and all the early works of the band.

The review is enjoyable and not bad. Anyway, it's always nice to read the comments from the idiots who scatter their one-star reviews out of spite towards who knows who, and who have never written a review on DeBaser.

@ IGGI: those songs were all there and they had the effect of giving me a monstrous stomachache. Laxative album. If you like it, I couldn’t care less about a damn thing. But at least respect other people's tastes and, anyway, I repeat: I have no intention of spending money on a piece of shit like this. Pathetic album for pathetic minds.

Dear GIUDICONE, it’s not entirely true what you claim. This is because, if you have read the other reviews of the band on the album in question, you will realize how the album is praised by everyone as the masterpiece that, in my opinion, it is not. Therefore, you have given a 1 not only to me but to all those who have reviewed Chinese Democracy without even reading the review, let alone looking at the score. Did I hit the mark?

@ DARK SCHNEIDER: you know how it is... when an album sucks, it just sucks, no two ways about it. This one takes the cake. I won't hide the fact that there might be someone who is into the aforementioned platter, but for me, it was terrible. I purposefully kept my review of the record minimal because there was nothing to say other than that it "sucked big time." I've already explained the reason for the history I've included.

I'm not ashamed to admit that I actually DOWNLOADED this album because I no longer buy anything blind.
Having made this clear, and adding that I will never buy it and that I don't give a damn about those who accused me of downloading it (maybe because those gentlemen buy every album of every band they review and so on), I wanted to make a clarification. Many of you were rightly upset about the long backstory of the Guns. But no one understood the reason why I included it. I included it to convey that the Guns are extinct like the plague. They no longer exist. Those who today call themselves Guns N' Roses are nothing more than the band of one person. A band that should have been called "Axl Rose Project" or something like that. Evidently, many did not understand.
To the guy who got upset because I trashed Death Magnetic, my opinion stands, even though I have the limited edition of the album at home, the cardboard one. A nice digipak, and nothing more.
