but it’s very simple, it’s about real limitations, rap has many of them

Alright, come on, don’t hide behind a (red) flag. I’m not discrediting your listens (even if I find many of them uninteresting), but your methods of evaluating what you don’t consider good music are questionable. You listen to people who have regurgitated what you call commercial music; take the folk guitarist you mention among your listens—technically very valid, but musically it doesn’t seem original to me...

I repeat, listen to the great Wu-Tang Clan and then tell me if that isn't music, but it also has everything else.

Well, rap seems to have been born as music, not as poetry; back then they added a background and read their lyrics, but that's not how it works – music blends with the lyrics (those who know how to do it). The others are left as half measures.

It may be obvious, but it doesn’t seem to be so for you if you discredit Mehldau for things of stagnant good taste.

@TOBBY listen to the Wu-Tang Clan and then tell me if the tracks are just beats and nothing more! (I just saw that TRAUMACRONICO has already replied for me, but I'm leaving my comment anyway) @Bart Franc has already answered you!

basically all the albums, and considering how many he has made it seems a bit excessive to list them, either you don't know what crossover is or you have never listened to a single Zappa album.
