Allen has done much much better; however, in the overview of comedies from these years, he carves out a more than respectable space for himself.

A movie can't be made up solely of caricatures and comic gags; it needs to have its own structure (which, if we want, there is a bit of in this film). Verdone makes me die of laughter, especially in the sketches (is it written like this, boooh?) of 4/5 minutes, but the films—what a drag!!!
