One who has sex, you see dear, I am of a certain age and having sex 24 hours a day is quite difficult for me; moreover (unfortunately) there’s also work, and sometimes the office hours can drag on quite a bit. :-)

I saw it only once and a while ago, but I really liked it. S4doll, I honestly haven't seen Branagh's version, but then I have to believe that at least once in his life he must have attempted to make a good film or even an excellent film? I would have never said that after what I have seen...

Yes, the little movie is inconsequential: maybe for a night of popcorn and cola, when your mind is tired after a stressful day, it's okay to watch it casually.

Hi fusillo, you see the old Green unfortunately has been buried (I could no longer access debaser using that nickname, never understood why) so now he has been replaced with the guy from sweet buns/focaccine. And thanks for the info about the record label. See you soon.

Ah Bubi, I almost forgot, there are films from 1910 that are definitely superior to this one from '39, maybe not in terms of resources and budget but in terms of emotional impact (which still feels relevant today). And I reiterate that in my opinion "via convento" remains a modest little film.

Fellini's films (not all of them) are openly "fables," but "go with the wind," his intent is "realism." I'm sorry to contradict you, but "films where you find all the thought processes" is not accurate (with perhaps a few exceptions); rather, you find a "dominant taste," not "thought processes." I ask you again why great directors have never been winners of a statue? Perhaps, just before they died, they got the Oscar for lifetime achievement (so the Academy covers its back). By the way, who are the judges of this event that frequently award films that cost a lot to make (which then turn out to be flop films)? They don't reward cinema; they reward productions (coincidentally) from Hollywood. It’s like if I awarded the best book prize while owning a publishing house, and the award obviously goes to an author from my stable; in the global landscape of books/films, it wouldn't make much sense even if the book/film were actually excellent. Perhaps the only (or one of the very few) events where the award has a more "truthful" value (even if obviously less publicized than the Oscars) is the Cannes Film Festival (where even a director is the jury president) where films from all over the world are awarded.

Bubi (I deduce you’re rather young) I mean a little film not for "economic dispersion" I know very well how much it cost back then and who the chosen actors were but because it is superficial and poor in emotions. The photography is so dazzling that the basic idea of fiction is further enhanced. You see, I wasn’t talking about genres; as you know, I can make various genres to express a concept, emotions—take Kubrick for example, the only genre he didn't tackle is the western, but in all his films you find his own logical way of thinking (except Spartacus), and this applies to many other directors (who for some reason have never won an Oscar). I meant a “model” to follow.
