Miles Davis Kind of Blue

Listening to Mingus in trio is a rarity; regarding "Money Jungle," it's true—we're on another planet. I consider it a masterpiece, even if there are a few rough edges, but what intensity! In fact, you won't find Hawes in megastores or at Coop. I go to a specialized Italian jazz website (my musical passion) with great prices. By the way, I bought the double CD of Henderson that you reviewed on this site for 9.90, as well as the Rollins at the Village Vanguard. I'll leave you the name of the site: www.suonieritmi.com

Henderson is one of the most underrated tenor saxophonists in jazz; this is a GIANT!

I can partially agree with what you say, but even in the less successful albums (which, in my opinion, are very few), I always find something to appreciate that I can only expect from a musician like him.

Is the album "Mingus Three"? If it is, I have it too, but it's not the best of Mingus's work. I would like to recommend to you, if you don't have them, Hawes's "The Trio: vol. 1" and the "All Night Sessions" series (3 CDs). I don't know any others, but these are worth it!
