oceansize certainly no moccia (what he writes cannot be defined as literature) but surely more contemporary writers yes, you can't spend 2 years on "I Promessi Sposi" (and neglect or rush the study on more contemporary writers) school is almost behind like poletti

But WHAAAAT!!!!!!! Pollè, you really are your own worst enemy! In an old discussion about the wind’s alley, you talked about the great contents of anti-racism, etc... Is this a film studied in film schools??? I have my doubts. Also, because I’ve never heard any great director mention it as one of the most innovative or interesting films in the history of cinema. This is just a kitschy mess, plain and simple.

Pibroch, for goodness' sake, if for you "cinema" only means entertainment, that's your limitation, but that's perfectly fine. However, there are other people who can both enjoy films that aren't demanding (but that's not the case with Jurassic, which is just a really terrible film; flat, predictable, and therefore boring) and enjoy thought-provoking films and find them just as enjoyable, if not more so...

I don't hide behind anything, dear Pollè. If I said it was a provocation, it was a provocation, period! I just exaggerated the terms (given that in the post following the one you mentioned, I said that I like The Simpsons). It is clear that some styles of humor are offspring of Allen, as a principle, not that they are identical or copied... I repeat, however, that I can't justify a deliberately exaggerated provocation. It wasn't, and I've also responded to you regarding that pizza from "Gone with the Wind" because I really think that... so I don't hide behind anything, my dear Pollè.

Poletti, do you know why I no longer feel like replying to you? Because you don’t know how to read.

carloirons but what is cinema? It's not just that jumble of images of ahhrggg, bang bang, brommmm, grrrrr etc... to watch with popcorn and a Coke in hand... those are called video games.

Poletti, one last thing: the last person you should listen to is yourself, because you spout nonsense left and right and you also contradict yourself.

Regarding what you're asking me, I don't feel like responding, also because that post was a provocation, and I don't think I said "copying," but some are definitely in the "style" of Woody Allen. Anyway, don't come tell me that the Simpsons are funnier than Allen (because on your part, I take that for granted) ... Then you say, "I would be curious to know which jokes the Simpsons say that are similar to those of the Vanzina, even more interesting would be to know which jokes the Simpsons copy from Woody Allen," because you noticed the Vanzina-style "jokes" in the Simpsons too, didn't you? Curious?

M.Poletti once again proves how he really doesn't understand anything about cinema, and the few correct things he says are because someone else has already said them. A good critic is someone who brings new insights rather than rehashing what has already been said, and not because he copies from meringa or others. "A seat in the third row is not enough; otherwise, 90% of the world’s population could be considered great experts in film." The 90% of the population, dear fool, is not sitting in the third row watching films by Bergman, Kitano, Godard, etc.... but watching the Vanzina films (which at this point I have to assume you like as well; once they make a little movie perhaps flavored with some rhetorical denunciation, like calciopoli, vallettopoli, or other trivial matters, you’ll surely place it in the top 10 of your shopping list). You can also read books about cinema, but it is in practice that you can learn more and better understand cinema. Imagine that Kim Ki Duk (one of the best directors out there and the best of the new generation) has never cared about cinema! But then a fan, but then a fan!!! Come on, how old are you, 12???? A fan is the least interesting and objective being (and you want to be a critic???) that exists, so why should anyone care about what you say? For you, The Simpsons are always well-made even when they sound like Vanzina’s jokes...
