but above all, is it really that essential to do reviews on these movies? Also, if we want to be picky, you've written some nonsense in the review.

Well, "Everybody Says I Love You" is a little gem, but this 2-star rating seems a bit too low to me.

"There are directors that I just don't like on instinct," doesn't suit a cinema know-it-all like you; you need to be omnivorous to really critique a film as an "expert." I sometimes have doubts about certain movies, but I'm often proven wrong; however, I'm not an "expert," I just like what I like.

It’s really not appropriate to compare the surreal/visionary/Lysergic Jodo with Salvatores and Tornatore. Sure, these aren’t films for everyone, but in my opinion, “el topo” (unlike the highly acclaimed “La montagana sacra,” which is still great but in my view more of a wink and nod) remains one of the most beautiful visions/visionary experiences in cinema (among those I know).

I don’t fully agree with you (especially on the rating) because it’s still an entertaining movie, definitely not Woody’s best with some pacing issues, but it’s still a good film. Rating: 3.5

Given how well you write, why not start writing reviews on movies that you give 5 beautiful stars?

I know him but I have never seen him, I don't mind the review.

I have several works by Ibrahim, but this one is missing from my collection. He's a pianist who brings all the rhythm and flavor of Africa through his fingers, a giant. Clearly, I will make sure to buy this CD as soon as possible, given your (as always) exhilarating and beautiful review (I’m adding it, like all your reviews, to my favorites)!
