Even if you don't agree with me, "Don't you think that music, poured onto a CD and detached from its visual context, is practically meaningless?" This is true when you buy soundtracks featuring various artists or those closely tied to the images and rhythms of the film, but a certain example, perhaps one of the highest, though not the only one, is the soundtrack by Miles Davis for "Ascenseur pour l'échafaud," which thrives just fine even without images.

What a splendid review indeed! I know a little about Zorn by name, and as for the Masada, it's total darkness; but how many records has he made!!!!

I would say a 3.5, nice but not thrilling, although in some parts it's really fun. The one you mentioned "Melinda..." I didn't like very much, actually... Great review anyway.

But in your life between music and cinema, is there something you listen to or watch for your own pleasure, or are you a sadomasochist? P.S. there's no 5/5 list for Toto lovers, 2/5 for the people, 1/5 for those who love music—this made me rate it a point lower.

Because in 20 years we will hear the usual "nostalgics of nonsense" saying, but in the end, they made us laugh/dance... after all, what's wrong with that... and so on.

Here you go, satisfied "the direction is quite flat????? (maybe boring?) and linear, obviously without peaks of originality (according to the screenplay), while the performances (performances????) of Banfi and Montagnani are excellent, two masters of the genre and perhaps two actors wasted (this is more entertaining than any jokes in the film) for these roles (of course, considering their talent, Scorsese wanted to cast them)." Well, I would say this sentence sums up a good number of nonsense. Whoever defends these films (?) I hope to not find them badmouthing an album by the 883 (or whoever for them) because we're on the same levels in two different fields.
