Nice review that highlights the strengths and weaknesses of the film. It's not a masterpiece, not even among Sorrentino's best films, but it's not a bad film. The direction is excellent as always, and the actors are great: Servillo is always in top form, Verdone is well-suited for the character he plays, and even Ferilli isn't as terrible as I expected. Some supporting characters are memorable. Overall, the film is weighed down by a certain excessiveness and pretentiousness; at times it felt heavy and unclear to me.
