Never liked but never despised. At this rate, I’ll have to start hating them too.
Port-Royal Where Are You Now

Once my brother tried to add a couple more carrots to the ragù. I was about to throw the plate against the wall.
Ridley Scott The Martian
Voto:
A decent film from Ridley Scott would indeed be a pleasant surprise. Let's consider that in the last five years our hero has directed The Counselor, which I've heard nothing but terrible things about, Robin Hood which is just OK, Exodus which is forgettable, and Prometheus which is worse and dumber than an Asylum movie.

Michael Mann Thief - Strade Violente

As a cop, I plan to watch all of Mann's films basically. Today I wanted to see Public Enemies with Johnny Depp, but I ended up watching The Public Enemy from 1931 with the magnificent James Cagney. Did I make the right choice?
Ingmar Bergman Luci d'inverno

I have the fountain of the virgin somewhere, but I still have to see it; in fact, I have never seen anything of hers. Like many important directors, I always fear starting a film and getting walloped in the balls after half an hour. The nice thing is that it usually doesn't happen.
Chris Cornell Higher Truth

Heard a song on the radio this afternoon, more than honest.
Skyclad Prince of the Poverty Line
Voto:
When I used to listen to the genre, I was one of those idiots who listened to Fintroll instead of Skyclad, of which I can’t remember a note, so shame on me. However, the cover made me want to listen to Alan Parsons Project again. (PS: Korpiklaani are still alive and making albums; I thought/hoped they had been cut down by cirrhosis ten years ago.)
Alex Garland Ex Machina

I liked it, but I appreciated it as pure entertainment without paying attention to the intellectual depth (whether fake or not).
Keith Richards Crosseyed Heart
