Robert Rodriguez Planet Terror

A pure distillation of the quintessence of trash artfully crafted: here you’ll find EVERYTHING an aficionado of trash cinema could desire. Even if you don't appreciate this type of film, I think Rodriguez and Tarantino deserve praise simply for being two renowned directors who couldn’t care less about the market and common sense, creating such films solely to vent their creativity while simultaneously paying homage to their favorite fifth-rate flicks.
Quentin Tarantino Le Iene
Voto:
This is a five-star movie, there's little to do about it. It's fantastic how Tarantino manages to soften the raw impact of violence with total absurdity while still maintaining a certain plausibility with reality; you can feel the dialogues, phenomenal.
Quentin Tarantino Grindhouse: Death Proof - A Prova di Morte
Voto:
The film is garbage, deliberately garbage, garbage crafted with undeniable skill: SPOILER, you spend 90% of the film winding up a spring that for the remaining 9% is getting ready to snap and will explode in the last thirty seconds of the film, showing the viewer what they had been expecting for at least three-quarters of an hour; and all this awful structure is intended by that crazy, fetishistic director. The film is Tarantino's least beautiful work and almost impossible to watch more than once, but it’s not just a simple piece of crap; it deserves a passing grade as a mere stylistic exercise.
Kraftwerk The Man Machine

Beautiful beautiful beautiful: having overcome the initial trauma of listening to such a different electronic music from what is heard today, Kraftwerk becomes superb. This album, for me, sounds better in the German version though: Sie ist ein Modell...
Fantômas The Director's Cut

Nice, nice, I listened to it again just recently.

Try to take a decent photo with a decent subject and tell me if photography shouldn’t be considered art.
Negativland Fair Use: The Story Of The Letter U And The Numeral 2

I've heard about them in the book I'm currently reading, No Logo by Naomi Klein; I was really curious to know who they were!
Gorillaz Plastic Beach
Voto:
Difficult album to evaluate, probably the best from Gorillaz; some songs are truly fabulous once you've listened to them a few times.
Bloc Party Silent Alarm
Voto:
I know little about the genre, but they are worth a listen. A trendy quality group for once.
