I thought they were little known to us. A record bought back then solely for the beautiful cover. I loved this album and I still occasionally put it in the player in the evening. Pirner’s timbre is truly beautiful, sweet and raw. "Let Your Dim Light Shine" is great too, but this one is more magical. Excellent review Mauri, simple and incisive.

easycure simply wrote a very provocative review, but in the discussion with me, he was never rude. His only goal was to receive 3000 posts divided between outrage and collective delirium, and this is exactly a demonstration of the childish behavior that he, paradoxically, projects onto others. If he had written an impartial review, he would have received more moderate comments, but his purpose was completely different, and he succeeded perfectly.

shirubvr I totally agree with you. You know, I too had a heated debate with the reviewer precisely on this point: the lack of respect towards all those who, loving any group, can feel offended by very harsh words. But above all, I contested the absence of a simple personal pronoun alongside the fierce accusations. I was deeply struck by a comment from a young man who expressed disgust at the strong language used about the DTs, explaining that his father, before passing away, had requested that “The Spirit carries on” be played at his funeral. When writing, one has a significant responsibility, even on trivial topics like music, especially if they can touch people's sensitivities.

Thank you for the advice, sirbony, but perhaps you haven't reached the post where I claim that Genesis are the best band in terms of composition and that Selling England by the Pound is the greatest album in the history of music for me. But this tip should be given to someone else, not to a DT fan. I'm sorry that people think that a DT fan is just a metalhead. The DT that we adore are mainly progressive!!!! But what does he say about Collins and Portnoy... I'm curious.

beautiful review, congratulations. I agree on everything: from the awful remote remonce to the incredible ice. however, there is a certain tendency towards the sound of the eighties, which perhaps limits the band throughout the decade. Not surprisingly, after "Stationary Traveller," the band takes a break until 1991. Great camel.

Hi Lux, I left you for a while and look what happened (not your fault!). In fact, I was the one who started it all, but don't worry, I don't want to argue anymore, even though it was fun and constructive. Anyway, if I really had to, I would focus on the review of the Nobel Prize in Literature Petrucci... absurd!! Bye.

I bought the album as a gift for one of my university exams. I was already a big admirer of the Swedish combo. "Retropolis" and "Stardust We Are" are the highest peaks, but this is a great work. The only flaw of the band is perhaps the repetitiveness; something new can be heard in "Unfold the Future". Nevertheless, they are excellent musicians. I recommend listening at night, with the lights dimmed.
