Pages like these are ****, no ifs or buts. I supported RADIOHEAD up to KID A and AMNESIAC. After that, it seems to me they became a bit hazy... but I could be wrong. I also think they are not COLD at all, as some consider them. Nor do I believe they are at the end of the line: as much as they are critiqued, even the last album - from what I hear - shows great signs of vitality...

Dear Primiballi, allow me to disagree: Consoli has turned out to be a BLUFF, in my opinion... The 2 albums you've mentioned are enough to highlight the endless meagerness of the entire Consoliana (consolated?) production. Those albums, when listened to TODAY, after 10 years, still have so much to say... unlike those who lack CONSTRUCTION and VERB, passing themselves off as singer-songwriters...

Boy, you are comparing a LOCAL phenomenon with global STARS...because that’s what the pop singers you mentioned are. Consoli has fulfilled (and continues to fulfill) the modial need for nicely packaged music, but is almost entirely devoid of VERB, under the pretense of being so-called singer-songwriter-alternative music.

But in what way has Consoli "changed"? She still sings with her adenoids...(and it gives you hemorrhoids..) and she certainly doesn’t come from rock. Here in Italy, there are few real ROCK artists (and even less Ligabue, even in his more honest works..).

Dear GustavoTanz, I would like you to illustrate the simple - as you say - solution to the MYSTERIOUS success of Consoli, unless it is attributed to clever marketing strategies and prudent (and poppettare) production. In the meantime, I reiterate my best wishes. With kind regards.

a vile phenomenon inflated by marketing + insidious... and by a careful and meticulous production in the arrangements. We all wonder why such great success... M Y S T E R Y ! ! !

I remember when this album came out: it was all praise for the GREAT SINGLES, for vinyl pressings, for the desire for summer and lightness, etc. Indeed, the Berlusconi-esque reviewer is right: the album is a half-baked effort. Half, because the Rems throw out some ideas, but there's nothing that’s truly worth it. Not even the highly Revered IMITATION (and the grand VIDEO): it feels like a remake of some old song. The last album I listened to before I also stopped with the band from ATENS. I remember that my girlfriend at the time had the single of IMITATION, the B-side of which was an acoustic track featuring sitar, not bad...

GHEMISON and what did I say? Replay: "The clever move was the wild marketing that was done for the songs of this album, used for TV shows, commercials, videos in heavy rotation, and various singles." I meant to say: he has a nerdy face but still pulled off clever tricks... to live off the profits for more years...

What a sly one with that face? More likely that he had his "golden moment" in this one album. The clever move was the wild marketing that was done for the songs on this record, used for TV shows, ads, heavily rotated videos, and various singles.
