I partially agree with Alessio. 2007 was a great year. One standout: "Super Taranta" by Gogol Bordello. As for the Hives, well, I liked the previous albums okay. Nothing special, though.

I just want to clarify that my intent is neither to reevaluate nor to trash anyone. Rotten and Lydon have made music history, and I admire their past works, but unfortunately, they have turned against the very ideas upon which they built their own musical "struggles."
