@ Contemplation: I confess I thought about it for a while. The reasoning – if that’s what you can call the mechanism involving that handful of neurons I have – was this: Classical music (or rather, compositions that have lasted over 100 years) should all receive a 5, because there’s a reason they’ve made it to us. However, then what would be the point? It’s better to make a "distinction," as the clever ones say, even within this music. So, by doing this, for me, Schubert’s ninth hovers between a 3 and a 4 (5 should be reserved for masterpieces that are indispensable, and for me, this isn’t one of them). In the end, a winged Knight appeared to me and moved the mouse to 3. Instinctively, I wave goodbye.
