Damn, if the Pink Floyd were commercial, the King Crimson were too, but the Floyd were commercially successful, yes, but purely so. The King Crimson adapted to the times, taking the old and mixing it with the new, uniting dance sounds with progressive, new wave with jazz. In my opinion, there's no contest. I'm not saying that commercial music is necessarily bad; however, the Pink Floyd didn’t make bad music, they just made marketable and cold music, cleverly managing to seem intelligent (pardon the pun).

Alberto88, I find it contradictory that the Floyd, despite paying so much attention to sound quality, convey so many emotions. To me, they don’t transmit anything; they leave me completely cold, they don’t give me chills like Banco does with "750000mila anni fa l'amore?" or Genesis with "The Cinema Show." Even King Crimson doesn’t give me chills because, if they have a flaw, it is precisely their coldness, but they still leave me astounded by their genius, while "The Dark Side of the Moon" is consumer music, aimed at impressing with pyrotechnic effects and sappy ballads that would conceal a dark and mysterious sense, so not only are they sappy, but they also become cultured and interesting. Every song on this album has a Wikipedia page because it’s full of secrets, keys to interpretation, and everything you want. It’s music that wants to astonish, but it really doesn’t say anything to me. The same narcissistic, attention-seeking jerk that Keith Emerson was, who also aimed to astonish, did so by stabbing the Hammond, playing at 300 km/h, not with effects, but with soul. I don’t know about you, but that’s how I feel.

They really had their commercial period in the '80s, with Discipline, and they didn’t lower their standards. According to Fripp, he is the eternal father.

Fripp recently took it up the ass from David Gilmour, but not from Roger Waters, because he's too ugly :-D long live the Crimson King!

In my opinion, Bonny, even though I'm not very familiar with Led Zeppelin, King Crimson kicks everyone's ass, simply because they continuously reinvent themselves without ever giving in to trends, but adapting to the era and the mindset of the people of that time. What a genius Fripp is!

I'm sorry, did anyone understand anything I wrote?

You've broken my balls. I'm not crazy about this album either, but you're talking a lot of nonsense. Get into horse racing, and stop bothering me; you're not the first one to trash this album. I can't give it a 1 because it's well written, but the meaning of it disgusts me. 2 P.S. For me, the record is a 3-4.
