The only album from the early period (we'll end it with "Phaedra") that doesn't move me. Here we have the concept of texture, as in the title track, meaning a sound block equivalent to an environment, to an image. However, "Birth of liquid pljeades" has variations, light and darkness, "Atem" title track is a whisper of wind, a minimalist poem, with sounds that are barely noticeable and few spectacular sound effects (like the Moog).

"King Kong" is not just Steiner's; it's also Frank's!

I regret not having commented and voted yet; I was absolutely sure I had already done it since I read it as soon as I came across no wave. Anyway, "The ascension" is the pinnacle, then everything else. Branca is the guru of all.

It's absurd to see people who, instead of living, at six in the afternoon in June, write rivers of lines about...nothing. Beautiful Italy. :)

Memorable album. Slits and Raincots for life. Just a step below the Au Pairs.

The beautiful things. I didn't know the band. Here, they feel the echoes of Massacre (Laswell, Frith...) and "My life in the bush of ghosts," all with the classic dark tension of Eighties experimental music.
