I inevitably dove into the slow core period at full throttle (at least three years ago). The genre hasn't remained etched among my sonic loves, but I still listen to it (I lean more towards "Loveless" or the Talk Talk of "Spirit").

Do you know "Dom" by Edge of Time? There are also very evident patterns there from the early Seventies. Perhaps the Limbus 3 are the most intriguing discovery in the underground scene.

If "Ford Affections" had originally been created by This Mortal Coil, it would be a nice piece in the style of the early Cocteau Twins. Instead, conceived by Rema Rema, it's a whole different story, a unique track in the genre that blends dub, tribalism, and occultism in the vein of Savage Republic and gothic.
