"I am not a believer, Alessio, but imagining Arnold as 'God' could make me change my mind... Finally, a religion made for man!" This one a bit less :D

"The important thing is to distinguish the somewhat anomalous prog of Van Der Graaf Generator from the useless baroque excesses and wankery of, say, EL&P or Yes post-'73." This, on the other hand, is a completely agreeable statement!

"a) It's true that prog musicians all came from a bourgeois background;" this has nothing to do with the music. "b) It's true that prog music is, too often, hyper-technical and quite showy, turned in on itself and self-satisfied (how to explain certain boring and at times soporific 10-minute solos?);" no, not too often, this only occurs in some cases, and anyway punk has its flaw, which is the totally opposite characteristics. And I can't recall 10-minute solos. "c) It's true that there are some masterpieces among prog records (and it rightly cites IN THE COURT...);" That is only the first true masterpiece in chronological order, but there are many others, some of which may have features you don't appreciate like hyper-technicality (e.g., LegEnd, Henry Cow), but that doesn't mean they aren't masterpieces, and others are decidedly less technical and masterpieces just the same (e.g.: In the Land of G&P, Caravan). "d) It's true that prog musicians acted like new BEETHOVENS (where do we place ERICSONLAKE&PALMER?);" ELP are the most self-satisfied group in prog, and Emerson was technically gifted enough to afford it. Obviously, ELP may not be to your liking, I understand that. "e) It's true that prog is WAY TOO OFTEN based on fake-intellectualism-instrumental elitism (something that only FRIPP can afford, and that's it. I remind you he hasn't only done prog. See collaborations and records with BOWIE, ENO, and others... or his solo records or those from the late 70s and 80s with King Crimson);" Here I don't understand what you're referring to, please give me some examples. "f) It's true that prog hasn't stood the test of time, having had a five-year success before being swept away by NEW WAVE and PUNK." I've already said it's a cycle, everything has a golden moment and a moment of decline, it's part of the normal flow of things, not just for prog. "P.S. the writer has several prog CDs and has attended KING CRIMSON concerts." Several records? How many more or less? And your attendance at concerts certainly doesn't validate your anti-prog positions, if that's what you're trying to do. :)

Alright, I get it, don't keep telling me that in every review... we talked about it yesterday.

If from what I told you in your review it seemed like I wanted to have the truth in my hands, see that it's not like that, believe me. I have never demanded anything.
