LA RECENSIONE

The only thing that saves this album is the collaboration with Caparezza in the track "Ladro di bambini", in which even Capa almost speaks badly of him!

For the rest, he spends 60% of his lyrics justifying that he hasn't changed... even his trademark phrase "Damn uomo!" is heard increasingly rarely... as I read elsewhere, he's becoming more and more like a 50 cent clown version.

It's sad to see how in Italy hip hop is brought to the "media surface" by people like Mondo Marcio, instead of talented artists like Onemic and the many MCs who have been on the local scene for years, stuck in the undergrowth because they are never considered up to national commercialization.

The only positive note is the beats, powerful, in full American style.

More than generation X, I would say: generation n.c.

(sorry if it's little...)

Summary by Bot

This review criticizes Mondo Marcio's album Generazione X for its repetitive lyrics and lack of growth. The only highlight is the collaboration with Caparezza. The beats are praised for their power and American influence, but overall the album disappoints, especially when contrasted with talented underground Italian MCs overlooked in favor of commercialization.
