They hadn't released anything, what easycure calls "the typical progression of the long psychedelic track" belongs to the later GD, even Pink Floyd had been performing live since '66, Barrett didn't go to listen to concerts in California.

No ajeje, I repeat, let's not hang onto my tastes. If there's a drum sound that DISTURBS me, then I'll never be able to appreciate an album. These drums are too cold, too unexpressive, and ruin what's good in the rest of the record. Not to mention the voice, which I just can't get into. Ok, there's no gratuitous experimentation here, but that's the norm. I didn't appreciate Morphine in one night and with just one album; maybe I’ll change my mind, maybe I won’t. But I didn’t say anything reckless, and I didn’t slam the band. If you like to attack me just because I have certain tastes, go ahead, I’m used to it by now.

trell is not about the guitar-not guitar, it's not enough to play a harpsichord and a small organ to be original..and anyway I said they are a good band, I just don't like the voice, the drummer, and above all there's nothing original.
