You mentioned some amazing road movies, supersoul! Let's not forget Duel, Bonnie and Clyde, and in its own way, The Misfits, and then the legendary Sorpasso! Anyway, I don't agree about Thelma & Louise; I don't think it's overrated.

It’s a beautiful and important film, worth noting the deejay who plays a role similar to that in The Warriors, as lemuro says. "Hippie" is spelled like this :)
