Yes, I understand what you mean, but if we put it this way, for me who appreciates dance music (vade retro, it's just an example!!), even the tracks by Gigi D'Agostino and Gabry Ponte are fantastic pieces, being masterpieces of their genre: and so, Gabry Ponte is an artist like Eminem, like Beyoncé, like Elton John and like Deep Purple, and "Quelli che non hanno età" is on the same artistic level as "Child in Time," and "Tanz Bambolina" is on the same plane as "Highway Star"... But this is not talking about art, it's being simplistic... Come on Manliuzzo, I expect much more from you!

I've tried to sing a bit of everything: it mainly depends on vocal characteristics, pitch, technique, a lot of factors really. Of course, I've tried singing "Say Hello to Heaven" too, and for me, it's UNCHARTABLE: Chris Cornell was truly monstrous back in the day, just like Gillian and Plant 20-30 years ago, no doubt... But you see, I have a friend who has a particularly high and somewhat "feminine" voice, who can sing Robert Plant effortlessly (it comes naturally to him), while he finds it harder to sing Glenn Hughes or Ronnie James Dio (who are baritones with a more "masculine" and very powerful tone): he does them well too, but he has to change the key of the song each time... I think I can do them better than he can (since I'm an high baritone). Anyway, in general (aside from the keys), I believe that some singers are almost impossible to imitate, like Michael Matijevic without a doubt (listen to him in Steelheart), Sebastian Bach (try to perform "18 and Life"!), Steven Tyler, and something of Freddie Mercury ("The Show Must Go On" and "Somebody to Love" challenge anyone!). And yes, Bruce Dickinson is an extraordinary professional, and nowadays one of the best in the world, no question about it...

"..This is a great song in its genre, so please don’t intervene if you’re not knowledgeable" the real problem is that a piece shouldn’t be compared within its own genre, but in absolute terms. Let me explain: many pieces by Gigi D'Agostino, in THEIR GENRE (Dance, computer-made music), are masterpieces. However, the best album by Gigi D'Agostino is crap; the best piece by Gigi D'Agostino is much, much inferior to the worst piece by Led Zeppelin (to name one). So, this might be a great piece for rap, but in absolute terms, if we broaden the scope to all genres, this will definitely be garbage!..

Among the many drummers I adore (including Bonham), the one that personally drives me crazy is Ian Paice... I've said it all... Bruce Dickinson a strangled chicken? But any singer would dream of having his vocal lines!! I'm telling you, as someone who both sings and studies singing: Bruce Dickinson's vocal lines are perfect; you rarely hear such beautiful ones. From a vocal technique standpoint, let’s not even get started: superb range, powerful timbre, exquisite technique... and to finish, one particularity: usually, when a singer goes higher, the thickness of their voice gets thinner (it's normal); Dickinson, like a few other singers know how to do, manages to maintain a decidedly unusual power as he climbs: his thickness does decrease as he goes up (it wouldn’t be human otherwise!), but this drop is less than the "normal" and compared to many other brilliant singers.

Another review of this album, but that's okay. Extraordinary album, not only beautiful but obviously a milestone of heavy metal (this is to heavy what Master of Puppets is to thrash... and I've said it all).

Did we need another review of this album? NO. Well, it's written with passion, and I'm never harsh in my reviews, so I'll give it a 3. What more can I say about the album? It's the Bible of trash metal. And Metallica may not appeal to everyone (to me, like to many people around the world, they've fallen so far both personally and musically), but even their worst detractor cannot deny that this album (along with "Kill 'Em All," "..And Justice for All," "Ride the Lightning," and to some extent "The Black Album") is a masterpiece...
